Is the battery safe in deep salt water?

We are using Lithium Polymer 7.4V batteries. These are the same type of batteries found in your mobile phone or iPod. There is no danger of radiation, electric shock or explosion from our batteries. The undersuit series are sealed with epoxy in an aluminium outer housing and are safe to a depth of 70 metres underwater.  The connectors have gold plated pins but with use over years in salt water these can start to corrode.  Flushing with fresh water after use and keeping them dry when not in use prevents this from happening.  Some serious divers also use a small amout of vaseline in the connector.
